This Pinot Gris owes everything to the superiority of its 900 or so grapes. They are responsible for the rich flavours and the luxurious, lingering aftertaste. Bright straw in colour and with intense fruity aromas. A clean, fresh and mouth filling palate with a touch of sweetness on the finish. When 900 Grapes launched in late 2011, it took the New Zealand market by storm. The wines certainly captured our attention and we"re excited to introduce them to Australia. The secret to its success is its stripped back approach, focusing on nothing but flavour explains winemaker Greg Rowdon - "900 Grapes is simply about realizing pure and optimal flavour. We select blocks from Marlborough and elsewhere that display the best fruit intensity, and then do as little as possible to the grapes after that. The result is simply stunning wines, with those big fruit flavours that New Zealand is famous for."
