Peat is a new multi vintage bottling and has been crafted to offer a heavily peated flavour – the ultimate peat destination within Bruichladdich’s range, designed and crafted by our Head Distiller, Jim McEwan. “Peat “ showcases the unique heavily peated Bruichladdich style where the heavier sea iodine flavours that can dominate other Islay peated whiskies is subdued and made more elegant by Bruichladdich’s Victorian long neck stills. Intriguing palate experience similar to the aroma experience. The flavours, being so well integrated move as one across the palate warm, strong and sensuous. They linger beautifully before settling into their proper place on the taste receptors. This is an integration of smoke and oak splashed with the softest fruits.
