Hiram Walker founded Canadian club in 1858. Interestingly, it was originally produced in Detroit but, with prohibition looming, the distillery was relocated to Ontario. Gotta love their new tag line, "Damn right your dad drank it."
Canadian Club Classic 12 whisky is aged for 12 years in American white oak. It's considered one of their premium offerings with "trademark smoothness" and a "long and dry" finish. 6 years maturing in wood produces a darker spirit with more of the traditional characteristics of aged whiskies and a richer, more aromatic flavour.
