Most Bourbon brands are too mainstream, too staid and set in their ways. Alibi is here to shake up the old-school bourbon market. Best Sour Mash is distilled, then aged in First Use, charred oak barrels, to create the smooth, aromatic, mellow and flavourful taste of Alibi. The dragons represent the good and bad elements in our mind. Bright, deep gold colour. The moderate aromatics are confectionary-like revealing banana lolly, bubblegum and vanilla bean followed by the faintest whiff of charry oak. The aromas follow onto the palate which is straightforward, medium bodied, semi sweet and a little flabby but balanced by a mild spicy flourish. Soft warming spirit. Spicy vanillan oak and confectionary aftertaste. An inoffensive, simple, sweet styled mixing Bourbon.
